Home-repair estimate review

Fixi

Fixi is a private-beta home-service pricing and estimate-review product. A homeowner can describe a project, upload evidence, or bring a contractor quote; the system organizes the scope, searches current market sources, normalizes a local range, and saves the review for later comparison or export.

What the product actually does

Project evidence becomes a reviewable scope

Fixi accepts conversational project details and supports repair photos, documents, and contractor quotes. The interface separates the description of the work from the pricing result, shows the project category and location context, and lets a user inspect a structured estimate instead of relying on an unexplained single number.

Cache-first local pricing evidence

Pricing is resolved by category, subcategory, state, city, and ZIP when available. Fresh normalized snapshots can be reused; a cache miss can trigger current web-search aggregation and preserve source-level observations for audit. The service taxonomy combines a broad home-services reference with controlled live overrides so newly requested work can be classified without silently changing the base file.

Saved estimates and project history

Authenticated users can keep project conversations, saved estimates, pricing breakdowns, evidence, and history, then revisit or export a cleaner comparison for bids. The product supports sharing and PDF review while maintaining the distinction between market evidence and the final price a contractor confirms after seeing the site.
